Jeannie Hulen grew up south of Houston, on the Texas gulf coast. She received her B.F.A. in Ceramics from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1995. In 2000 she received her M.F.A from Louisiana State University. After serving as a visiting instructor at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, she accepted her current appointment of Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas, in Fayetteville where she teaches Ceramics.
