Arkansas Art Educator ArtLab

The School of Art at the University of Arkansas is hosting the second annual Arkansas Art Educator ArtLab this summer with three sessions to choose from, including one in collaboration with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

ArtLab 2026 Updates
A few spots remain for the 2026 Arkansas Art Educator ArtLab. If you would like to attend, please complete the form. A School of Art representative will be in touch with you shortly. 

Please submit the form by June 19 for Session 1 and by July 6 for Sessions 2 and 3.

About ArtLab
ArtLab is a free professional development program is for Arkansas Art Educators teaching in K-12 classrooms and districts across the state of Arkansas. The School of Art will provide 30 hours of professional development credit through this program.

Application Process

Applications for all three sessions will be available via an online form. Participants will indicate date preferences on the application form; however, participants will only attend  one session. 

While the sessions share a similar format, Session 1 (June 24–26) will be held at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art with specialized sessions led by CBMAA experts and SoA-invited speakers. After registering, educators will receive further details. If spots for all sessions fill, the School of Art will initiate a waitlist.

Cost
ArtLab is free to attend.

Lodging
For those traveling to Northwest Arkansas, lodging will be available and supported by the School of Art. Registrants will indicate on their form if they require lodging. Details will be emailed.


Dates


The School of Art will offer three sessions. When registering, educators can select which session(s) they prefer to attend. They will be notified of their specific assigned sessions, based on their preferences,  by end of April or early May.

If registrants do not have a preference, they may indicate on the form.

  • Session 1: June 24-26; in collaboration with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, hosted on the Crystal Bridges campus.
  • Session 2: July 8-10 at the University of Arkansas
  • Session 3: July 15-17 at the University of Arkansas
