The School of Art offers tuition-free graduate programs in Art Education, Art History, Graphic Design and Studio Art. Students accepted into a School of Art graduate program will have access to expert faculty, world-class facilities and equipment and funding opportunities through graduate assistantships, fellowships, and research and travel grants.

M.A. Art EducationThe Master of Arts, M.A., in Art Education degree prepares students interested in leading community arts programs, museum education, art education in K-12 schools. The program offers research-based, culturally responsive curriculum to equip future educators. The program is the first graduate-level art education program offered in the state of Arkansas. |

Community
We are fortunate to be in partnership with the world-class Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. The School of Art has a close cooperative relationship with CBMAA, with numerous opportunities for student interaction.
Being immersed in the Northwest Arkansas community is important to our mission as a School of Art. Student-run sUgAR Gallery is located on Fayetteville’s downtown square and participates in Fayetteville’s enormously popular First Thursday events. Every semester, the M.F.A. students present their work to the community in public exhibitions. Graduate students are also actively involved in collaboration with local organizations and galleries including Fayetteville Art Ventures, Community Creative Center, Fenix Arts Gallery, Joy Pratt Markham Gallery at the Walton Arts Center, Pond Gallery, and MIXD Gallery.
