Art Education
Students hone teaching skills and study culturally responsive art education techniques. The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree also offers K-12 Arkansas state teacher certification and is accredited by the Arkansas Department of Education and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
Art History
Students study visual objects and analyze art forms that have been created from prehistory to the present and produced in a variety of cultures.
Graphic Design
Students study human-centered and interaction design, typography, branding and design research. They complete coursework in print, web and motion design, with a focus on the traditional design process as well as the latest software techniques.
Foundations
During their Foundations year, students build strong connections with their peers, develop effective work habits, and learn to ask complex questions—in addition to being exposed to the full range of formal art and design principles.
Studio Art
Students learn a variety of techniques and processes in various areas: ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture and experimental media arts.
