ADVISING MEETINGS

To schedule an advising appointment, School of Art undergraduate students should connect with the Art Academic Advisor, Dr. Jessica E. Park. Students can receive additional advising support through the Fulbright College Advising Center.

Preparing for your advising appointment

---

Review the catalog requirements for your degree.

1. Tentatively plan your schedule, have a list of classes and times you are requesting for the academic semester.
2. Have alternative courses noted in case your first choice is not available.

 

Planning your course schedule

---

All undergraduate art majors, with the exception of Art History, are required to take Studio Foundations I (ARTS 19139) and Studio Foundations II (ARTS 19239). For more information about the Studio Foundations courses, check out the Foundations website for more information. 

In addition, all students in the School of Art studio program will start in the Bachelors of Arts Studio Art degree plan.  

Once students are eligible, they will then be able to apply to their various degree programs, which varies by program. 

If accepted, students will follow their specific B.F.A. degree plan and change from the B.A. degree plan. 

 Students can track their progress in their School of Art degree plans with the aid of an advisor and by viewing their degree process in Workday Student. Here are some helpful videos for learning to navigate Workday Student.
