Studio Art
Ceramics
The students that major in the Ceramics program learn a variety of techniques and processes in the medium. They also learn historical and contemporary ideas in ceramics and art in both the undergraduate and graduate level.
Drawing
Our Drawing program builds on a strong foundation in formal and perceptual training, followed by an intense exploration of the diversity of contemporary drawing media and processes. Emphasis is placed on developing a solid base of technical skill as well as creative problem solving skills.
Painting
The Painting and Drawing programs at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville embrace both freedom and discipline. Students explore a broad spectrum of media, methods and conceptual approaches, in order to develop their own unique strengths and find their personal creative direction.
Photography
Photography at the University of Arkansas School of Art combines practice in traditional and contemporary photographic processes with conceptual development, inspiring students to become innovative and critically engaged artists.
Printmaking
The Printmaking area at the University of Arkansas encourages students to investigate and challenge a diverse range of contemporary print media through experimentation, cross-disciplinary practices, conceptual issues, and critical thinking.
